It was quite clear from the start of the primary season that Hillary Clinton was the inevitable presidential nominee of the Democratic Party. There was simply NO WAY any of the other candidates could possibly win the nomination. These other people running were clearly only doing so to pump up their over blown egos. The worst of the bunch was this neophyte Obama. Where did this one term senator get off thinking that he could defeat the democratic party dreadnought, her highness Hillary Clinton? There was simply no way he could win!
The Clinton campaign came in with all the heavy weapons at their disposal. It was clear that all the top people in the democratic party supported her right from the start. Since she had cleverly and successfully blocked any future possibility of a national health care program while she was “co-president” she could count on HUGE campaign contributions from the health care industry. Her corporate fund raising was bringing in more money then anyone else in the race. She had her husband, and “co-president” stumping for her all over the country. She had BOTH voted to authorize the war AND voted to continue to fund it repeatedly. She was in the cat bird seat. THERE WAS SIMPLY NO WAY SHE COULD LOSE!
Given the above facts it’s quite clear that Obama has simply stolen the votes that rightly belonged to Clinton. It is also quite clear that The Democratic National Committee need commission a study and adjustments to the Democratic primary system need be made prior to the 2012 Democratic presidential primary in order to defend against this kind of electoral failure in future.
In a broader sense this failure will now cause major problems in the general election. This upstart Obama will now have the unmitigated gaul to attempt to STEAL votes that rightfully belong to the Republican nominee, McCain. Anyone that wishes to argue that this outcome can be left to stand is a fool. How can we as a nation allow mere voters to run off half cocked and vote for the wrong candidate. This reporter sees quite clearly that this failure goes way beyond the Democratic party. It is indeed an assault on the two party system. If this goof ball upstart Obama can spoil the votes of the rightful Democratic nominee, it is quite clear that we can be looking at a general election in which A CANDIDATE FROM OUTSIDE THE TWO PARTY SYSTEM COULD CONCEIVABLY BECOME PRESIDENT!
